Chapter #1
Jayden woke up early with a big smile on his face. Today was a special day because he was going to help his mom in the kitchen. He had been waiting for this moment for a long time. Jayden loved to watch his mom cook and bake. He always wanted to try it himself. His mom said they would bake cookies together. Jayden was very excited.
Chapter #2
Jayden washed his hands and put on a small apron. His mom showed him all the ingredients they would need. There was flour, sugar, eggs, and butter. Jayden looked at the recipe book with big eyes. He couldn’t wait to start mixing everything together. His mom handed him a big bowl and a wooden spoon.
Chapter #3
Jayden carefully measured the flour and poured it into the bowl. Some of the flour spilled onto the counter, but his mom said it was okay. Next, they added sugar and butter. Jayden tried to crack an egg, but it was harder than it looked. The egg slipped out of his hands and made a mess. His mom laughed and helped him clean it up. Jayden learned that it was important to keep trying.

With all the ingredients in the bowl, it was time to mix. Jayden used the wooden spoon and stirred with all his might. The dough was thick and sticky. His mom showed him how to mix it slowly and evenly. Jayden watched as the dough started to come together. It looked like magic. He felt very proud of himself.
